Health Economics Review is calling for submissions to our Collection on The Pharmacoeconomics of Vaccines.

Scope and Submissions:

    Cost-effectiveness analyses (CEA) and budget impact models of new and existing vaccines
    Pricing strategies and market dynamics affecting vaccine affordability and accessibility
    Economic evaluations of novel immunization technologies and delivery systems
    The role of Pharmacoeconomics in vaccine policy-making and reimbursement decisions
    Societal and indirect cost benefits of immunization programs
    Economic modeling approaches to assess vaccine interventions in different healthcare settings
    Comparative analyses of vaccine funding strategies in low-, middle-, and high-income countries
    Value-based assessment of a vaccine
    Other challenges (e.g. in regulatory science, expanding the National Immunization Program, adjuvant technologies, Real World Evidence bridging clinical trials and policy, hesitancy) related to vaccine (e.g. combined vaccine, polyvalent vaccine).

Wenxi Tang, PhD, China Pharmaceutical University, China

Dr. Tang received her BEs degree in Economics from China Pharmaceutical University in 2008 and a PhD in Social Medicine and Health Management from Huazhong University of Science and Technology in 2015. She completed postdoctoral research in Pharmaceutical Policy and Science at the University of Arizona in 2017-2018. As a PI, Dr Tang has received six national fundings from National Natural Science Foundation of China, Ministry of Science and Technology and Bill & Melinda Gates foundation. Her grants covered topics in integrated care, regulatory science of vaccines and capability development in primary care. Tang has published over 90 peer-reviewed articles in journals since 2015. Her work on prescription drug pricing was featured in a 2018 US news report. She has been awarded Jiangsu Outstanding Youth Talent in Social Science in 2019 and been recognized as part of the Jiangsu "333 High-Level Talent Cultivation Project" in 2021. Her course, "Pharmaceutical Value and Economic Evaluation," is recognized as a National Outstanding Online Course. Dr. Tang has also contributed to the national textbook Health Technology Assessment (2nd Edition).
