
BMC Pediatrics is calling for submissions to our Collection on Advances in autism research.
The World Health Organization suggests that 1 in 100 children worldwide present with Autism Spectrum Disorder, a prevalence that has slowly increased as our understanding of the condition grows.
This collection aims to identify the latest research relating to autism, and observe any changes in diagnosis, management and best practice.
We are interested in a wide range of evidence pertaining to children with autism, including:
- Articles on policy and practice
- Clinical developments
- Lived experience
- Developmental issues
- Population level studies
- Health Services development
In order to observe data on the above topics, this collection would welcome a wide variety of study types, including longitudinal and qualitative studies to better understand lived experience, evidence-based reviews of current practices and policies, and clinical research articles pertaining to autism.
This collection aims to build an evidence base that will allow healthcare professionals to remain up-to-date on best policy and practice.
