About the Collection

BMC Veterinary Research is calling for submissions to our Collection on Innovations in veterinary oncology: surgery, therapy, and technology.

The landscape of veterinary oncology has transformed significantly with updates in surgical techniques, novel therapeutic approaches, and technological innovations.

Notable progress, such as the implementation of precision medicine and immunotherapy, has substantially enhanced the effectiveness of cancer treatments in animals, in addition to advances in diagnostic imaging and molecular diagnostics, enabling earlier and more accurate cancer detection.

Understanding these ongoing developments within veterinary oncology is crucial for advancing research that expands and refines cancer detection, therapy, and surgical interventions in animals. We aim to bring together the latest research findings and innovative approaches that can further enhance the care and treatment of veterinary cancer patients.

We invite submissions of original research articles, reviews, case studies, and perspectives that explore the evolving landscape of veterinary oncology, encompassing topics such as:

  • Advanced diagnostic techniques and imaging
  • Novel therapeutic approaches, including immunotherapy and targeted therapy
  • Innovations in surgical techniques and minimally invasive procedures
  • Personalized medicine and precision oncology
  • Technological advancements in cancer treatment and management
  • Comparative oncology and translational research
